Home

Come, bring me home,
I’ve been waiting for so long.
And you are here in my arms,
Telling me to breathe.

Falling into clay in your hands,
I fear every moment I love,
Wishing for the next moment with you,
Clocking seconds like ticks on my heart.

Come, bring me home,
Keep me for all of your years,
Embracing all I am, and really am,
Shelter me.

Winter

I’m not ready for the winter yet,
The chill keeps going to my bones,
Grating on the marrow and refusing to speak,
Pulling each moment from empty sticks.

Don’t judge me, not again,
I just wanted to see something I loved,
I just thought it would be lovely,
And to me, but just to me, it was.

I’d say I was just waiting for you to judge,
But I can feel the air between us
When they talk about sex, passion,
Desire.

Please don’t stop me,
I’m trying to breathe,
I thought I could be here,
Just let me be.
