Love that Dreams

Well, time had passed, and so many things had been,
Clock’s teeth counted away the moments of gladness,
Almost making life not worth living,
Counting away the dreams of what might have been.

Refuse the fangs of time consume the brightest days,
Breathe the life you have always known
Until something catches and oxygen flings you forward,
Into what moving and alive.

He entered into the oxygen, nitrogen for something more,
Breath for the you that doesn’t breathe the air,
Livening the steps inhaled in despair’s wake,
Until that moment a new breath you take.
